Our Programs

Degrees, certifications, and courses.

Florida Vedic College offers three ways to study, from a single course to a full doctorate. Every path is rooted in the same tradition and held to the same standard: authentic, lineage-based teaching.

How credit works

At Florida Vedic College, practice counts as coursework.

One academic credit represents about 45 hours of learning. Self-study includes reading, japa and sādhana logs, approved lectures, seva, and reflection, all documented.

You do not only study the spiritual life. You build one, and it is recognized as part of your education.

Recognizing prior achievement

Some who come to us arrive as teachers, not beginners.

Ācāryas, gurus, and lifelong practitioners have often already earned what a program is designed to teach. We recognize that in two ways, and for the right candidate, we can design something entirely new.

Honorary Degrees

For exceptional achievers.

An ācārya, a guru, or the leader of a mission, whose lifetime of realization and service speaks for itself.

Conferred in ceremony, with no coursework or examination
Rare, and granted at the sole discretion of the university
Awarded on board approval

Credit for Prior Study & Service

For teachers and seniors with documented training.

You should be credentialed for what you have already mastered, not made to repeat it. Your training hours are mapped to our credit standard, about 45 hours to a credit, and can lead to a certificate or a degree at any level.

An examination at the level of the credential sought
A written record of prior study: teachers, years, and practice
Three references who can confirm your training

One principle governs both paths: knowledge must be received authentically, learned in paramparā. Artistry and innovation are honored, but when work is real yet not classically Vedic, we give it an honest, dignified title rather than an inflated one.

Designed around you

For the right candidate, a degree built for one person.

Recognition is not the only path. Rather than fit you into an existing program, we can create a custom, personalized degree, designed around your specialties, your service, and your life's work. Board approval required.
